“ In the name of the batch, Starians 86-90 Assalamualaikum, Dear Superfriends and all, We welcome you to our batch Starians 86-90's website! Our website here concerns mostly about our batch history and happenings, much in tribute to our five unforgettable years in our alma mater, Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Ipoh, more known as "STAR Ipoh" in the late '80s (we were the school’s Kings 1990), and shall hereby serve as a testimony to our undisputed "Starian Spirit”, an ever present factor rooted deep inside every Starian that has walked through the portal of STAR, from the beginning first batch henceforth. Over the years, our batch has been known by many names. Seniors usually call us “Batch '90", referring to our final year in STAR which in our time was our SPM year (STAR was no longer having Form Six in 1990). Once, we tried to brand ourselves as “Fivers 1990" but somehow this failed to depict our five wonderful years in the alma mater, thus quickly forgotten. Some other batches named themselves after their batch number, say “Batch 048”, but this we found rather confusing and more often than not leaves us wondering which years in STAR do these lads actually belong to for real. We now prefer to introduce ourselves as the "Starians 86-90". Some may still call us "Batch 1986-1990" or "Batch 86-90" for short but both are okay with us. We believe that the name of any batch should immediately tell of our time in STAR and should instantly spark general assumptions on our background, style, music influences and upbringing during those fabulous years in STAR. Every batch has its own unique characteristic of which time was an ever important essence attached to it, or so we think had applied to ourselves. This website is all about us, the Starians 86-90. While we the batch shall definitely enjoy cherishing our memories, histories and happenings, we sincerely hope the readers out there would enjoy the little bit of token from the past that we shall be posting here from time to time. We are archiving our milestone here merely to cherish and strengthen our brotherhood and hopefully this website will somehow provide some certain degree of joy and reference to other readers as well.
